Where can I buy Oscar Schmidt instruments?

Oscar Schmidt instruments are sold through a network of authorized retailers, both in local music stores and online. Use the official dealer locator to find an authorized partner, which ensures genuine products and full warranty coverage.

What is an Autoharp and is it easy to learn?

The Autoharp® is a chorded zither. Pressing a chord bar dampens every string that does not belong to that chord, so a single strum produces a clean chord. This makes it one of the most beginner-friendly instruments for accompanying singing, while still offering depth for experienced folk players.

Does Oscar Schmidt offer left-handed instruments?

Yes. Oscar Schmidt offers selected models in left-handed configurations so left-handed players can learn and perform without restringing or modifying a right-handed instrument.

How do warranty and repairs work?

Oscar Schmidt instruments purchased from authorized dealers are covered by the official warranty. Keep your proof of purchase, review the warranty terms, and contact customer support or an authorized service center for adjustments and repairs.

Who owns the Oscar Schmidt brand?

Oscar Schmidt is a division of JAM USA LLC and a sister brand of Washburn, continuing a stringed-instrument tradition that began in 1871.
